The color of those curtains are the blue color next to the teal color in your picture. They have been miss marked. Something similar had happened to me but a completely different product. If you’re not pleased with your purchase, you are entitled to return them. You may find the color your looking for locally. You’re husband did an awesome job on your columns and arch. Love your video’s

I would paint the fireplace the color of the wall because I would want that opening garden wall to be the feature. Also, I would go back to the inspiration photo and study it for a while to determine the color I would be painting that archway. I always decide on what I want to be the focal point first. Is it the plants, the wall, the decor? Then pick the paint color accordingly.

I can see the garden room in a dark moody color snd also paint the wall facing the room with the door the same color to bring continuity

That’s where my granddaughter lives. She is also an assistant principal at one of the grammar schools there she loves Charleston. We live there short while when we first got married after my husband graduated from college, but we got home sick and came back to Columbia, but she was well when she first was born in Charleston

I did not realize that you are in Lexington! I live in Lexington not too far from Michelin 😊 I think the antique white will be a beautiful neutral for all the decor possibilities! Maybe paint the column and arch a light terracotta color and the trim a dark green. Can’t wait to see the final results!!

I think I would keep the arches a very light stone color, the contrast with walls would be lovely.

Hey Painted Lady! LOL! Now I'm getting it. I wasn't so sure where you were going at first with the garden room theme but after seeing all your plants on the porch and your beautiful new finds I am totally seeing it. It's going to be so great to be able to pull a lot of your plants in for the winter and enjoy them. I'm thinking the neutral off white for the walls and a bit of grey with the antique for the columns and the fireplace, I'm thinking like a cement stone look, that is my choice. I know whatever you do will be beautiful! I cannot wait to see this pulled all together!

Sherwin Williams has THE perfect Antique White color. Many years ago the editor of Southern Living magazine recommended it as the ultimate white to showcase art, antiques, etc. He wasn't wrong! I would color drench the room in antique white and with your talent, "age" the arch, columns, and brick. I cannot wait to see what you do 😊

What direction does the garden room face?

I love your cloud footage along with the music you chose. I photograph clouds all the time i just love their formations and how the light looks on them. As for the paint color in your garden room I would choose a light tone. I'm just not a fan of dark wall colors. The antique white would keep the room airy. Pale blue or green would also lend well to the plants. I think painting the brick and its trim the same as the wall color would be a wise choice. A solid palette against the plants would look great. I know you have your plans for the arch but I think it looks good as is. It looks like aged concrete. In a perfect world it would have been buying one of everything at Eclectic Finds. You showed great restraint.

OMG, I could've stayed in that shop for days! They have some beautiful things. I'm so glad you got that corbel, I love them, and especially when I saw the price...fantastic! You might want to think about putting it in your garden room w/ a long full plant. The paint colors, that's tricky, but you're that master when it comes to paints, so I'm sure you will pick the perfect colours. Please tell hubby I hope he has a quick recovery from surgery. Based on your inspiration photos and how you like to paint and create, I was wondering if you’d consider doing a Venetian plaster effect on your brick wall. Creamy walls, and an arch that has either the blue, green or black that you love. Even if you sell this house someday, you’d be happy surrounded by what you love. Have a good night.
